Culture and Treats in Lancaster, PA
We had the best time visiting Lancaster, PA! Barely 2 hours away from the DMV, Lancaster is a great day trip or weekend getaway for families. We headed out straight from the school pick up line. My daughter was SO excited to see the car packed and ready to go!
We arrived at the Lancaster/New Holland KOA around 7pm. . . because DMV traffic! After checking in at the office and grabbing a bundle of firewood, we started a fire and got settled for the night. We car camped, but you can also bring an RV, use a tent, or rent a cabin. Our tent site had water, electric, & wifi! I felt safe there alone with a young kid, and the showers were clean and hot!
Here's what we did in one day:
✔️ Learned about pretzels, rolled some dough, and ate freshly baked, handmade soft pretzels at Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery.
✔️ Enjoyed lunch and watched an amazing performance at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre.
✔️ Had a blast riding in a buggy and touring an Amish farm with Aaron and Jessica's Buggy Rides.
There's so much to do in the area. We'll definitely be back soon!
